शहीद दिवस - Martyrs Day

On March 23, 1931,Rajguru,Sukhdev & Bhagat Singh was hanged in Lahore.Since then 23 march is known as Shaheed Diwas.Rajguru,Sukhdev & Bhagat Singh were the young revolutionary of Bharat who sacrifies their life for the freedom of Our Motherland.The two major events that were the reasons for their execution were the Bombing of the Assembly & the Saunders murder.Rajguru,Sukhdev & Bhagat Singh decided to use the court as a tool to publicize their cause for the independence of India.

While in jail ,Rajguru ,Sukhdev & Bhagat Singh and other prisoners launched a hunger strike advocating for the rights of prisoners & those facing trial.All three were finally hanged on 23 March 1931 amidst thunderous shouts of Inquilab Zindabad from other inmates inside the jail.

Ah! Not for idle Hatred
Not for Honour, Fame ,
Nor self Applause
But for the glory of the cause
You did What will not be forgot.
